Capcom's adjusting their upcoming tournaments, thanks to COVID-19. Advising they'll host the Capcom Cup VIII as an online season, they've outright cancelled the Street Fighter World Championship 2021 team battle.
Outlined through an official Tweet, Capcom's showrunners apologized for the heavy decision they had to drop on the premier tournament.

Offering their "sincerest apologies," Capcom goes on to advise that they "share your frustrations" but are prioritising health and safety for everyone involved. Considering players would've flown in globally and the recent Omicron variant of COVID-19 outbreak, it's hard to argue this decision.
