As Fortnite continues sustaining its place in the gaming industry, Epic Games has announced they've acquired Harmonix - the team behind music and dance-themed games like Fuser, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Amplitude, and Dance Central.
Announcing this newly-formed venture yesterday, Harmonix confirmed plans to “work with Epic to create musical journeys and gameplay for Fortnite," but will continue to work on their already existing games. Alex Rigopulos, co-founder of Harmonix said:

Elsewhere, Epic's stated that they would need Harmonix's expertise "to reimagine how music is experienced, created and distributed.” Epic's Vice President of Game Development, Alain Tascan, stated:
