It’s been 20 years, and fans are still holding out hope for Half-Life 3. While Valve has yet to say anything about this game’s existence, leakers are claiming that there’s some life to this project yet. This could just be fans hoping a new game comes out soon, but we’ll take anything at this point.

Valve insider Tyler McVicker (via Engadget) claims that there is now a playable version of Half-Life 3 that’s being playtested to death. McVicker even claims that they were offered a chance to play it, and even teased that other insiders have already tried it out. Take it with a pinch of salt, but this is the most we’ve seen about the game’s existence thus far.

Here’s what McVicker said about the game’s progress:

We won’t believe this story about Half-Life 3 until actual evidence from Valve is presented. McVicker does have a good track record, but the company has been really secretive about this game. They never even announced the cancellation of Half-Life 2: Episode 3, though most fans already know about this.

Are we finally going to see Half-Life 3 soon? Only time will tell.
