Halo TV Series Has Been Renewed for Season 2

2022 is a big year for Halo. Halo Infinite continues to captivate fans, while the beloved franchise is also set to receive its own live-action TV series.

Even though the show hasn’t even premiered yet, it's been renewed at Paramount Plus for Season Two. The streaming service’s chief programming officer, Tanya Giles, announced the news through a recent Paramount Investors Day Presentation (via Deadline).

Giles expressed their confidence in the Halo show, with Season 2 set to expand Master Chief’s world:

The stakes are high in the adaptation, as the boss ensures that the program remains highly faithful to its source material.

Season 2 will, however, switch showrunners with David Wiener (Fear the Walking Dead) leading the show’s development. The first season’s driver, Steve Kane, will depart from the series.

Even though the show is due to premiere very soon, its launch could potentially get delayed. Halo’s original composers have issued a lawsuit against Microsoft, which might push the show’s launch back.
