Square Enix has announced that they're suspending digital sales for Final Fantasy XIV, alongside its current free trial. Following ongoing server congestion issues and lengthy queue times for the popular MMORPG, that's come to a head following Endwalker's recent release.
While Square Enix previous gave players seven days of free game time, they've now added an extra two weeks as further compensation. As per their official website (thanks The Gamer), game producer and director Naoki Yoshida issued a statement about these current problems.

Endwalker, XIV's latest expansion, released officially last week on December 7th, though anyone who pre-ordered it got early access on December 3rd.
